Northrend Fishing Dailies
If you’ve worked your fishing skill up to the cap, the Northrend fishing dailies can be a good source for some quick coin and cool rewards. There are 5 different fishing dailies, and they’re given out by Marcia Chase at the Eventide Fountain in Dalaran. Make sure you’re not in a raid group, as the fish you’ll be catching here are all quest items and they wont pop if you’re in a raid.
Blood is Thicker (Borean Tundra): You need 2 key ingredients here, beasts, and water. Find some beasts that are close to water and kill one. You’ll get a debuff called “Animal Blood”. Hop in the water to wash it off and equip your fishing pole. This will create a “Pool of Blood” in the water for 3 minutes. Cast your line in, and fish up your Bloodtooth Frenzies. You’ll need 475 fishing skill for this quest to avoid fishing up junk.
Dangerously Delicious (Lake Wintergrasp): There’s nothing overly tricky about this one, other than avoiding players of the other faction long enough to catch the 10 Terrorfish needed. To avoid pulling up junk, you’ll want 525 fishing skill here.
Jewel of the Sewers (Dalaran, The Underbelly): Again, nothing special here, just find a nice quiet place and fish until you get the Corroded Jewelry needed to complete the quest. The no-junk skill level here is 525.
The Ghostfish (Sholazar Basin): You can fish up one of these guys along any river in Sholazar Basin. Once you get one, eat it within a minute. You’ll phase out into a land of white mists and the quest objective will complete, returning you to the real world after a few seconds. As with the last two, you’ll need 525 skill to avoid catching junk.
Monsterbelly Appetite (The Frozen Sea): You’ll want to go south of Dragonblight to find this area. Find an ice chunk to stand on and fish away. You’re looking for a Bloated Monsterbelly. When you get one, right-click it and you’ll receive a Severed Arm. Take this to the First Aid trainer in Dalaran to complete the quest. This one requires a whopping 575 skill to avoid junk, and in my experience, takes the longest to complete. Hope you get one of the other ones.
Every fishing quest you turn in nets you a Bag of Fishing Treasures, as well as 250 reputation. The bags contain gold and usually a couple of random items. Some of the items sell for quite a bit, most notably the Porcelain Bell which sells for 100 gold. The Northrend fishing dailies have great rewards considering how quick and easy they are, so make sure to give them a shot!
